Laboratory Tray
.
You can take screenshots of your flower trays any time
by pressing the S key. Be aware though that static picture loses the
dyanamic dance of growth that is a big part of the art of Kyresoo
gardening. Kyresoo flowers are best viewed through the provided
flower tray viewers, which show a whole Kyresoo year of time in just
a few earthbound minutes.
Here you see on seed, labelled number 3, being mutated
to form eight offspring. The structural genes of each flower are the
same, but massive mutations in the genes that color each cell result
in a garish display of color changes.
CrossBreed Tray
.
The CrossBreed Tray lets you cross two seeds, labelled
1 and 2 to form seven offspring. Here two plants with quite
different structures are being crossed. As with earthbound plants,
contending structural genes can lead to lots of "infertile" seeds,
like numbers 3 and 4. Unlike earthbound plants, Kyresoo does not
restrict you to 50/50 crosses. Here 73% of the genes are coming from
the number 1 seed.
Display Tray
.
Here the Display Tray shows nine different seeds to
indicate some of the variety currently available in Kyresoo. This is
probably only a fraction of the potential flower types though.
Flowers for the Display Tray are downloaded from other players web
sites. The ShowPlant tool lets you move your best nine seeds up to
your website, or download other players efforts to your Display
Tray.
As with any of the Kyresoo Flower trays, you can pick
a seed from a flower by hitting the label number 1 thru 9. This seed
appears in a Picking Tray accessed with the Transplanter tool. With
the Transplanter Tool, you can then move the seed to the LabTray or
CrossBreed Tray for further development, or save it in a Catalog
tray for later use.
Be aware that in Kyresoo, flower breeding is a
communal effort. By uploading your flowers to your website, you are
agreeing to let other pick and use seeds from them. Each seed
contains its own breeding history, so all who have taken part in its
production can get credit. Reputation is the currency of Kyresoo, so
this history should not be modified.
